MEI Polytechnic implemented the concept of IAP (Industrial Attachment Programme) more than 20 years ago. Industries were identified and the students were sent for hands on training in their respective disciplines and exposed to industrial environment during their vacations. This practice has been maintained and further enhanced under Industry Institute Cell.
Some of the scope of IIC includes signing MoUs with industries for students in-plant training, technical support for carrying out students project works, coordinating campus interviews and placements activities, arranging industrial visits, entrepreneurship development activities, arranging guest lectures, coordinating students participation in technical fairs / organizing exhibitions and facilitate upgradation of faculty knowledge and skills on new technologies through industrial training.
