NCC ACTIVITY REPORT 2017-18


The National cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization Comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engagedr
in grooming the youth 'The Leaders of Tomorrow' into disciplined and responsible citizens. NCC of MEI
Polytechnic is attached to 1 Karnataka Signal Regiment NCC and has total Strength of 80 cadets which
includes 20 girl cadets. All the activities of NCC will start at the beginning of every academic year in the
month of July. Totally 20 parades will be conducted on Saturdays & general holidays for the enrolled
cadets, not disturbing the academics of students. During the parade time various activities like drill,
weapon training, map reading and theory classes on military subjects will be conducted to the students.
During the year 2017-18, apart from the regular parades, the following activities were conducted in the
college for the cadets.

  1. 1 SD Cadet Attended PRIME MINISTER RALLY AT DELHI IN THE PRESENT YEAR.

  2. 3 Cadets attended Special National Integration Camp At KOHIMA,NAGALAND, for 14 days And Secured First Place in Sports as the over all champions Among 17 directorates.

  3. 2 cadets attended NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP AT DELHI, for 14 days And Secured 2nd Place In The Cultural’s In The overall Directorate Level Among 17 Directorates.

  4. 7 SD’s Attended ARMY ATTACHMENT CAMP AT GOA..Where cadets will be trained with the ARMY soldiers and all soughts of traning For 12 days.

  5. 1 SD Cadet Attended INTER GROUP COMPETETION OF RDC-2018 Held At MYSORE for 10 days AND Among INTER GROUP LEVEL OF KARNATAKA AND GOA, They Secured 1st in Overall Drill Competition.

  6. 19 sd’s and 10 sw’s had attended Combined annual training camp-2 AT YALAHANKA ..Also they secured 2nd place in the Drill Competition and 2nd place in Sports

  7. 6sd’s and 1sw Had attended IGC/TSC-1 held at Tumkur

  8. Cadets where also part of “SWACHATHA ABHIYAN” for 7 days by NCC.

  9. All cadets where part in ‘YOGA DAY’ Which was held By the NCC organization

  10. Cadets Also took Part in Some social Awareness Programat Bannerghatta National park ..20sd’s and 10 sw’s took part in it.

  11. Independence Day and Republic day was celebrated.
